Portfolio – 3D Book Covers

Jeannie Barker Portfolio 3D eBook Covers

When selling books online you need to make them look as attractive as possible and aid the viewer to perceive them as tangible products. They can’t pick up your book online and flick through it, smell the paper and ink, or feel the weight of it.

An easy way to make your book appear more tangible is to use a 3D image of your book. You can take a photo of your book or a stack of your books. You can use a photo of yourself proudly holding or displaying your book. Or, you can have your cover image converted to a 3D image.

You don’t need to purchase software or scripts to achieve this effect yourself, simply send me a high res image of your book cover, or the cover art PDF and I will create a 3D image for you, or several different 3D images if you wish.

Portfolio – Equine Emergency Rescue

Jeannie Barker Portfolio Equine Emergency Rescue

MaryAnne Leighton’s Equine Emergency Rescue website was a pleasure to create. I took my inspiration for the site colour scheme from the rich colours of the cover design of her book of the same name.

Some of the images used on the site are confronting, but appropriate for a book about the rescue procedures for large animals, highlighting what can go wrong and the results you really want to avoid.

MaryAnne Leighton has been published in many equine magazines and journals. We chose to highlight these articles with images from the magazines which link to the PDF versions for those who wish to read the complete articles.

We also used images from the chapters on the contents page to give people a clear idea of what is covered in the book and to visually entice the reader.

MaryAnne shares news of recent articles published, events attended, book signings, etc. in the blog section. Of particular interest is her post on the shooting of the book cover image. What looks like a dangerous situation on the edge of a busy motorway was actually a staged and completely safe shoot for the animal involved. It’s a great read and exactly the kind of article / post that readers enjoy and authors can excel at.

Check out MaryAnne Leighton’s website here: www.equineer.com and be sure to recommend it to any horse lovers you know. Her book Equine Emergency Rescue is a ‘must have’ for every horse owner.

Portfolio – Judi Young Author Site

Judi Young’s book, The Girl in the Picture, was inspired by an image of Judi… naturally enough I used the same image as inspiration for the website.

I chose a theme with a colour scheme that would compliment the photo, then customised the background colour to match the photo background exactly.

Judi Young’s website is a simple, uncluttered author site, designed to promote and sell her book.Check it out here: www.judi-young.com

Honestly Beautiful Ceremonies is an html website custom made to the owner’s specifications.

Marriage Celebrant, Sandra Birnie, wanted a site that looked like no other – a site that did not look like an out-of-the-box template. I worked with Sandra to create her unique vision online.

Portfolio – Bev Ryan Publish

Bev RyanBev Ryan wanted a site separate to her Women’s Publishing Network that would highlight her publishing services and the team of publishing professionals she has assembled, and a site that would encourage her to blog more often.

I created a simple site with a classic three column layout.

The site incorporates an optin form for Bev’s two giveaways, SEVEN Steps to Publishing Profits plus bonus Publishing Timeline - well worth signing up to her list!
